Pol Beckmann

Pol Beckmann is a writer born in Barcelona in 1991. He first began writing as a child but stopped during his teenage years only to return to it for good just before his eighteenth birthday. He did this with a story that, like his first novel, has a meta-literary background, one of the themes that most fascinate him as an author. Since then he has written around fifty stories which have won him prizes for young writers including the 2011 Elsa Garcia Short Story Prize, the 2012 Alt Urgell prize for young writers and the "Ploma Els 4 Gats" short story competition among others. 'Novel·la' is his first novel at the age of just 27 and watch out, everything suggests that it will come as a surprise to many, a literary revelation from an author who will prove a revelation.
