The Woman Who Couldn't Cry
Gaspar Hernàndez (La Garrotxa, 1971) is a journalist and writer. He directs and presents L’ofici de viure, a programme on Catalunya Ràdio dealing with the art of living and personal development. His first novel, El silencio (Silence; Destino/El Aleph, 2009), won the Premio Josep Pla and was the best-selling book in Catalonia in 2009. In 2014 he published La terapeuta (The Therapist; Columna/Planeta), which addresses the patient-psychologist relationship. He has also written a collection of short stories for children with Jordi Llavina, Cuentos para ser feliz: historias para ayudar a los más pequeños a vivir mejor (Tales for Being Happy: Stories to help young children to live better; Luna de Papel, 2011) and a number of self help books, the most important of which is El arte de vivir (The Art of Living; Columna/Luciérnaga, 2011).
