Isaac Rosa was born in Seville in 1974. He has published, among other works, several novels with Seix Barral, including ¡Otra maldita novela sobre la guerra civil! (Another Damn Book About The Civil War!) (2007), El vano ayer (Vain/Futile Yesterday)(2004), which was the 2005 Premio Rómulo Gallegos, the Premio Ojo Crítico and the Premio Andalucía de la Crítica, and was adapted for film with the title La vida en rojo (Life in Red); El país del miedo (The Land of Fear) (2008) which was recognised by editors as the best novel of the year and awarded the Premio Fundación J. M. Lara and La mano invisible (The Invisible Hand) (2011). His work has been translated into various languages and he is a regular contributor to Zona Crítica, the blog of the online publication eldiario.es, and to the magazine, El Jueves.
