Antonio Mingote (Sitges, 1919) is an illustrator, writer, journalist and member of the Spanish Royal Academy. He has been awarded numerous prestigious prizes, named Doctor Honoris Causa by the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (2005) and by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (2007), and his work enjoys wide international recognition. José Manuel Sánchez Ron (Madrid, 1949) is professor of History of Science at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. A member of the Spanish Royal Academy, he is also academic correspondent of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences and of the International Academy of the History of Sciences in Paris.
