Concha López Sarasúa

I'm from Asturias. I was born in Mieres, a mining town surrounded by very green mountains where as I was told as a child, lived mythological beings whose stories filled my childhood with magic. I often go to Asturias since I now live in Alicante, by the Mediterranean, a sea to which I have devoted many pages of my work. But I also spent twenty years in Morocco, and my travelling spirit has made me travel half the world. This is probably due to the fact that I always dreamed of broader horizons.
I remember myself as a child organizing plays in the yard in my house. I loved to dance, but we also recited Asturian monologues or played skits I wrote myself.
Now, at my age, I manage well with the computer, that is I entered the world of cybernetics thanks to my two children, Cris and Ana juanmi. I think the computer is a great invention. In my case, to correct and structure any text on the fly.
I do what I love, that is to write. But I confess that although I had taken my first steps in literature, I felt my true vocation in the north of Africa, particularly in Morocco. That was undoubtedly the country that awakened my passion for the written word.
