Anna Manso

Anna Manso was born in the Gràcia area of Barcelona and is the sixth of seven siblings. When she was little she was terrible at almost everything and the only thing she really enjoyed was reading. She was like a machine when it came to reading! She studied film and became a scriptwriter. She has made programs, series and children's programs for Catalan autonomous television, including the well-known shows ClubSuper3, MIC, Una mà de contes, Vendelpla, El cor de la ciutat', KMM and 39+1. She has a column in ARA newspaper's Criatures supplement called La peor madre del mundo ('The Worst Mother in the World') in which she analyses motherhood from a very personal and humorous perspective (she has three children), and the trials of being responsible for minors. She has twice won the prestigious Premio Gran Angular for young adult novels: in 2008 for 'Canelons Freds' ('Cold Cannelloni') and in 2016 for 'Allò de l'avi' ('The Thing About Grandpa').
