Lluís Prats (Terrassa 1966) studied art history and archaeology at the UAB and the UdG, and for some years worked in research and teaching. He has been a primary and secondary school teacher, an editor of art literature and a film producer in LA. He has written essays (Films for Education, pub. Belacqua), art books, historical novels (Sparta’s Earring, pub. Pamies), and several novels for children and young adults translated into different languages: Poisoned Competition, Miss Collignon’s Little Chorus, Shackleton, Expedition to the Antarctic, TAP! The Quarry Boy, Penny Berry and Hachiko, the Dog who Waited, which won the Folch i Torres prize in 2014, and the White Raven prize in 2016 from the International Youth Library
