Damián Alcolea
Damián Alcolea has a degree in Performance from the Escuela de Arte Dramático de Murcia (1997-2001) and later continued his theatrical training in London. On his return to Madrid he co-founded Compañía Teatro del Ser. Notable television appearances include roles in El Internado ("The Inmate") and "Águila Roja" ("Red Eagle"). He currently works as a teacher at the Sala Malasaña, nurturing his pupils' passion for theatre and teaching companies how to improve their communication with clients and among their own employees. He gives educational talks on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which he himself suffers. His TedX Madrid talk "Breaking the Stigma of OCD" is available on YouTube. He is the author of the blog www.diariodeuntoc.blogspot.com, on which he shares reflections and discoveries relating to this theme and which has received around one hundred thousand hits.
