Paula Bonet

Paula Bonet has a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and continued her training at NYU in New York, the UPC in Santiago, Chile, and the Dedalo Center in Italy. Until recently she worked in oils, a pictorial medium which she combined with elements of printing. She has worked in woodcut, lithography and silk-screen printing at Taller 99 in Santiago, Chile and in Urbino, Italy. But her impulsive personality and the waiting required by these techniques combined with the difficulty of integrating the accompanying texts with the images prompted her to exchange her oil paints, copper, wood and gouges for biros, watercolours and Indian ink. The outcome is faster and more direct, and these are the characteristics necessary for her most recent work. This speed can also be used to describe the way in which her work has spread all over the internet and all around the world.
