Jordi Llompart

Jordi Llompart began his career on the radio and as a journalist in 1984. He then spent thirteen years working for Catalan regional television, directing and presenting the news and other current affairs and documentary programs. He went on to produce various films and documentary series and to make his first IMAX film ("El misterio del Nilo" ("The Mystery of the Nile")) and his first 3D film ("Viaje mágico a África" ("Magical journey in Africa"), based on the story "El corazón sobre la arena" ("The Heart on the Sand"). More recently he has produced and directed the wildlife series "El final de los grandes felinos" ("The End of the Big Cats"). He has also written books about scientific discoveries ("Seres y Estrellas" ("Beings and Stars"), and articles and reports in a variety of publications. He considers himself to be a cinematographer, but also a journalist, writer, traveller and communicator.
