An audacioius story surrounds this Visitors' Book. Found by an English traveller at the end of the 19th century in the library of the Monastery of Mount Athos, the original manuscript was copied, translated and, such is fate, sold by the traveller's heirs as a legacy of unimportant papers, now considered to be lost. José Jiménez Lozano brings back to the public gaze these stories about the events in the city of Bethlehem during Herod's rule over the Roman province of Palestine.
