María García-LLiberós

She has a degree in Economics from the University of Valencia and in Political Science and Sociology from Madrid Complutense University. With her first novel, The Interviewer, she won the Gabriel Sijé Prize. This was followed by El juego de los espejos, Equívocos, shortlisted for the Premio Ateneo de Sevilla and Premio de la Crítica Valenciana, Como ángeles en un burdel, Premio Ateneo de Sevilla, y Babas de caracol. She has also published short stories: El miedo and El último desfile de las hormigas. In 2004 the film for television Mentiras was made, based on Equívocos, directed by Miguel Perelló and starring Imanol Arias, Esther Arroyo and Juli Mira.
