Cristina Ortega has a PHD in Leisure and Human Potential, a Masters degree in Leisure Administration, specialising in Cultural Administration; she has an undergraduate Humanities degree from the Universidad de Deusto and Westminster University, is director of Cultural and Leisure Innovation Projects at the Instituto de Estudios de Ocia and International Relations Co-ordinator of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at the Universidad de Deusto. She is currently president of ENCATC – European Network of Cultural Administration and Training Centres, a network sponsored by UNESCO, and co-ordinator of the European Working Party for Cultural Observatories and Cultural Information and Knowledge in ENCATC.
