Encyclopaedia of Celtic Culture
Manuel Alberro was born in 1928 and is a graduate of the Universidad de Oviedo. However, the greater part of his teaching and research work has been done in universities and scientific institutions in Canada, the United States, Sweden and Great Britain. Since retiring in 1993, Manuel Alberro has been associated with the Institute of Cornish Studies of the University of Exeter and, since 2003, with the Center of Celtic Studies of the University of Wisconsin-Milwauke.
He has published some twenty-one books in English and Spanish and over a hundred articles and conference papers in Canada, the United States, Australia, Ireland, Great Britain, France, Spain and Italy.
Among his more recent works are such titles as: Paradigmas de la cultura y la mitología célticas (Paradigms of Celtic Culture and Mythology, 2006), Lebor Gabála: libro de la invasiones de Irlanda (Lebor Gabala: The book of the Takings of Ireland, 2007) and La mitología céltica y sus textos (Celtic Mythology and its Texts, 2007).
