The Gran Via Murders
Juan Carlos Garrido Luque was born in Madrid in 1963. The enormous interest he showed for music and drama since childhood has led to a passion for the dramatic arts and musical theatre. A graduate in Economic and Business Sciences from the Universidad Complutense, Madrid, he has had a brilliantly successful career in the banking sector in Madrid and New York. He has written several manuals on Financial Operations for Derivative Products. He made a radical change in his life in 2003 by moving to San José, a town on the Almeria coast of southern Spain, working in the promotion of tourist and leisure activities. In 2005, he founded the Palma Youth Theatre group, which he directs, and which has been awarded several theatre prizes in Andalucia. He has written a musical, El Novio de Nijár (2007). Los crímenes del Gran Via is his debut novel.
