Pere Martí Bertran

A graduate in Catalan (UAB), the author has taught Catalan Language and Literature, and teacher training. She is currently Professor of Secondary Language and Literature, as well as a critic, translator and literary advisor on children and young people’s literature. She is a jury member for many literary prizes: Joaquim Ruyra, Vaixell de Vapor, Ciutat d’Olot, Barcanoa, La Fura de Creació Literària, l’Aurora Díaz Plaja...She is coordinator of a radio programme on the subject, and has translated works into Spanish and French. She is author of a dozen books for young readers: En Griset Aventurer, Les Tortugues de l’Ávia, La Nena Que Va Pintar els Cargots, La Tortuga d’en Hans, El Grill d’en Quim, En Roger i el Xoriguer, L’Avi Ocellaire, Marina Porqués, Els Tresors del Bosc, and La Mariona Perquès (these last three published in Spanish and Catalan).
