Susana Fortes

Susana Fortes (Pontevedra, 1959) studied geography and history at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, and American history at the Universidad de Barcelona. She has recently spent time in the US combining Spanish-language teaching in Louisiana with giving talks at the Interestatal university of San Francisco. She currently lives in Valencia and teaches art history at a college. So far her novels have been translated into English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Greek, Turkish, Polish, Hungarian, Hebrew, Korean and Russian. She writers regularly for El País and for film and literary journals.
