Little Red Riding Hood
Pepe Maestro was born in Cádiz (Spain) and, after graduating in Hispanic Philology, undertook various courses, becoming a specialist in Infant and Children’s Literature.
As a writer, he has published El Circo de Baltasar (Balthasar’s Circus) and Una pluma de cuervo blanco (A White Crow’s Feather), both in the Colección Ala Delta of Editorial Edelvives, Balbino y las sirenas (Balbino and the Mermaids) in the Colección Sopa de Libros of Editorial Anaya and Alfonsina en palabras (Alfonsina in Words) in Candil.
His passion for the theatre led him to found the Compañía de Títeres Cataplof, putting on works in many plazas, theatres and salons.
He has also produced a number of theatrical works for children and young people such as Una de monstruos (One of Monsters), Librosss (Bookssss), Casi Blancanieves (Almost Snow White), La Flor de Trebol (The Clover Flower) and El único lobo (The Only Wolf).
As a teacher, he has given numerous courses, workshops and lectures on promoting reading, orality and the value of stories. He is also an assiduous participant in the Circuito Lite.
