The City of Grey Eyes
The first light he saw was that of the sky over Biscay in the mid-sixties. He learnt to read in Bilbao and to write in Portugalete. He finished secondary school in Alicante and Don Benito, studied Law in Salamanca where a group of restless students founded the magazine Res Nullius, in which he published his first article. Out of his love of photography he published Villalpando, Landscapes and Corners (2002) in homage to his parents' Zamora hometown. Since then, he has had several exhibitions and has contributed to the magazine Paisajes. An accident, which meant he couldn't move for almost two months, motivated him to reconnect with his forgotten passion for writing. Having won several prizes for his short stories, he was encouraged to undertake the adventure of his first novel: The Blood of the Crucified (2007).
