El Paraíso Recuperado (Historia libresca de un ladrón)
To our knowledge, fiction tales have always served to publish books, while swiping books has not served to write fiction. Writer Róger E. Antón Fabián has used this formula to thread an easy-flowing, interesting story. It entertains us with a kind of manual on how to steal books without being caught like an anchovy, only this pilferer does not go into schools of fish ready for the nets but is a solitary petty thief ready to load his backpack, not only with the seven volumes of In Search of Lost Time, but also feels able to do so with the entire Encyclopaedia Britannica.
In tandem with bookish criminal adventures, the character narrator of the story tells us about his love affair with a woman, Mary, apparently a nymphomaniac who actually loves him and proves to be quite helpless as a companion book swiper. Aristotle, a faithful dog, is what most unites the couple in their continuing conflict.
The eight accompanying texts have been grouped by the author under the title of Paradise Lost.
