Murder Out of Season
Jaume Cela combines his work as a teacher and educator with writing novels for children and young people.
He has published over 40 titles, starting with Els nassos del rei (The King’s Nose) and including L'estrella que volia tenir cua (The Star Who Wanted a Tail), Xerraires impertinents (Cheeky Ducks), Ciutat d'Olot-Marià Vayreda prize in 1995, Hola Pep!, El Vaixell de Vapor prize, Silenci al cor (Silent Heart), Abril prize for the same year and translated into several languages including Spanish, Abans de neixer o Set raons per estimar els meus pares (Before I was Born or Seven Reasons to Love My Parents), El Vaixell de Vapor prize.
In 2008 he was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi de la Generalitat de Catalunya (St George Cross) for lifetime achievement.
